KyoAni lost its way.
They lost their way after Nichijou. Everything after that point was them trying to recoup the losses from the mistakes made by the marketing department in selling those BDs.
Kyoani will never make something great like Kyoukai no Kanata or Tamako Market, their old-timer masterpieces.
>>138882828
I just want another Amagi season before they dissolve.
I don't know about you but I'm having tons of fun watching it.
Glad they will bankrupt after Koe no Katachi flop.
>>138883825
Nice meme.
>>138883203
But Amagi was shit, though not as bad as Phantom.
>>138883683
Me too, way better than gay swimming or chuuni crap.
>>138883140
KyoAni can make a new Haruhi season if they really need cash.
Phantom World found a way in the second half.
THE ONLY GOOD SHOWS THAT KYOANI HAS MADE ARE HARUHI AND K-ON!
They've been walkig the path of mediocrity for a while now.
High production values can only do so much when the source material is meh.
>>138882828
are we still pretending phantom is bad?
>>138885326
K-On! is boring, agree with Haruhi though
>>138885326
This anon speaks the truth. Everything else they made just pales in comparison.
>>138882828
whed did kyoani ever made a great show? they never did
their best effort is a decent show their worse is what ruined anime for good like K-on and haruhi
>>138885411
K-ON is Kyoani's unmatchable masterpiece.
>>138885517
>He fell for the moe meme
How many posts until some hipster starts to wank off for Hyouka?
>>138885326
That's not FMP anon
>>138885326
Haruhi is just generic LN shit.
>>138885725I liked it
>>138885785
Well, going by that logic we could exclude every Kyoani show from the discussion. Pretty much all of them are generic.
>>138885725
>Implying that Hyouka was bad
>>138885725
What's hipster about liking Hyouka?
>>138885842
>>138885897
I thought that it was decent/okay. It's just that people on /a/ tend to give way too much undeserved praise for it.
>>138885725
I'd watch another season
>>138885725
That's one of their best.
>>138885725
It's genuinely their best show along with Hibike. It helped that they both had strong novel material. Hopefully they'll continue to adapt novels in the future.
Hibike is the best anime of this decade, though.
I love this meme!
>>138885922
>way too much undeserved praise for it
Just because you didn't like it that much doesn't means that people shouldn't like it too.
Like it or not it is one of their best works.
>>138882932
You are retarded. Revenues from sales disc of Nichijou went to Kadokawa, because these jews employed them to make that adaptation.
>>138886000
>It's one of those ''The show is better because it's adapted from a novel!'' poster
This is what I'm talking about. Aside from visuals, Hyouka is pretty much the definition of mediocrity and people act like it was something special.
>>138885208
THEY DON'T OWN HARUHI IP
KADOKAWA OWNS IT
AND THEY WON'T MAKE ANOTHER COMMERCIAL (ANIME) BECAUSE AUTHOR DIDN'T WRITE ANYTHING FOR SIX YEARS
>>138886070
What's so good about it?I'm genuinely curious to know what do you think that stands out about the show besides its animation quality.
>>138882828
they need to make another fujo pandering show.
>>138885725
>Hyouka
>hipster
K-ON>Haruhi>Nichijou>Clannad>Hyouka>FMP>Air
Never watched Hibike, Chuu2 or Amagi
>>138886375
Hibike and Chuu2 are pretty good, you should watch them.
>>138886412
Chuu2 is nothing special
>>138886412
Chuu2 is shit.
>>138886375
Hyouka>Tamako Love Story>K-On=Nichijou>Euphonium>Fumoffu>everything else
Amagi Brilliant Park is underrated.
They've been kind of hit and miss for me after chunibyo. I didn't watch Tamako or Free. I liked KnK, Amagi and Hibike. Chu2 was unecessary and I dropped colors. I don't know, they're doing OK in my book.
>>138886668
Making everything return to normal felt like a waste. Especially with no S2 on the horizon.
>>138885725
Hyouka is fantastic, you fuck off.
Its KyoAni. it will ether sell enough to break even or sell really well. a "flop" for KyoAni still typically does better than a lot of other shows.
>>138886758
The second half of Phantom World has been decent, although still episodic. If you didn't like Tamako Market, you might still like Tamako Love Story.
>>138882828
Last episode was good.
When do we get more info on KnK? I know it's in AnimeJapan2016 but I don't know details.
>>138883140
Love Story really was a masterpiece.
>>138885725
Look like you opened the floodgates.
Fuck Hyouka.
Oh shit, my bad. Accidentally posted best girl.
>>138887149
also, reminder that KyoAni's style is already close to KnK's, and that they've been faithful to the source's style for all of their manga adaptions (except K-on a bit), but people still will blame KyoAni when their designs look their usual, even though they will also they they butchered the desgins, even if the original were already similar.
>>138885725
>>138885725
>implying it's not their best
>>138887088
I never watched Tamako, I should. I wasn't against watching it, I just missed it while it was airing.
>>138887149
Next week. I don't know the details either but I'm sure we'll get a key visual at least (but I'm hoping for more).
>>138887276
They have pretty much almost always been faithful regarding designs.
>>138885922
I love how people start to praise hyouka when euphonium getting popular for the sake of being 'different'
I remember how people always bashed hyouka as 'snorefest' when it first airing
>>138887623
Only faggots with no taste said that. It's always had a small dedicated following on /a/.
>>138887623
People started agreeing that Hyouka was good even before Hibike aired. About a year and a half after Hyouka ended, the memers and shitposters loosened up and more people started watching it out of interest and realized it was all a meme, so they started a wave of "you guys told me this was bad" threads, which caused more people to watch it and then make posts again. There's still the stray shitposter here and then, but the general consensus now is that it's good. The same happened with Tamako Market, except it wasn't attacked as much, just ignored.
>>138887623
People have been praising Hyouka since long before Euphonium was even announced. It's not remotely a recent development.
>>138887623
That's kind of how it goes. The people who didn't like it probably don't talk about it anymore, so now all the fanatics are a lot louder.
Exactly the same thing happened with Eva 3.33.
>>138887770
Hate towards any Kyoani show always lessens over time.
>>138882828
I'm currently marathoning this show at the moment and am at ep 7. This show is so fuckin shit. It's absolutely disgusting on my eyes
>>138886375
>Never watch Amagi
You should get on that, it's pretty fun.
>>138887623
>I love how people start to praise hyouka when euphonium getting popular for the sake of being 'different'
People have been praising Hyouka and calling it a masterpiece before Euphonium was even announced. Yeah, a bunch of other people have and still consider it a snorefest, but that's because it's a divisive anime. It's not a recent change in opinion or anything like that.
>>138887792
3.33 is actually a piece of crap though. People praising it now just missed the point and thought the primary draw of Evangelion was being mysterious and confusing.
>>138887792
But nobody likes 3.33
I watched the first three episodes of this today and it was one of the dullest shits I've seen in a while, does it get any better later on?
>>138887854
pic related
>>138888003
yes, in the sense that each episode is better on their own, but the episodic structure remains
>>138888003
Episode 4 is the only good episode in the first half, but it does get better in the second half.
>>138887913
I'm not going to disagree that those people are idiots, but they exist.
>>138887936
There's a 3.33 thread right now with a bunch of vocal people who like it.
>>138888062
It's the same shit with Madokafags and Rebellion. That movie is terrible too but Madokafags will defend it.
>>138888373
I don't think Rebellion is terrible, but the show had a great ending.
>>138888373
Not really. More people liked Rebellion, and the general reaction was more confusion than disappointment.
>damn, this must be the class for children with heads twice the size of their chest
