I've noticed a plothole, or inconsistency of sorts in regards to Yhwach's plans for future invasions.
Askin claims that Yhwach intends to simply tear down and rebuild the realms as he sees fit. But then why did he make the Sun Gate whose sole purpose is to create a path to the world of the living to invade it?
Was it the Sun Gate Ebern used when he appeared in front of Ichigo and co? Are all plans of real world invasion called off?

You have to keep in mind that subduing and bringing Ichigo in was a desperate measure. For whatever reason he does not want to kill Ichigo, fight Ichigo, or even be in the same realm as Ichigo. Ichigo to him is a variable he cannot predict. In one moment he says he's going to kill Ichigo, in another he says that Ichigo should come watch the end of the world with him and next he tells Ichigo to get the fuck out. If I didn't know better I'd say he was bipolar. Perhaps this too is to be blamed on The Conqueror. I honestly don't know.
