In Japanese, I gloss through them pretty fast and only capture the general situation. What little context I get I glean from what little Japanese I know, because my moon sucks. I can read English pretty fast so I can grasp the full situation quickly. In both languages, I can read multiple doujins at once, though I tend to focus on one language at a time.
In Chinese (my 2nd language), I can't read it anywhere as fast as English so to get the full situation I have to focus on one doujin at a time so things go pretty slowly.
