Are there any other STEM girls in anime?
Most anime are not "sci-fi adventures" like S;G.

What's (STEM)?
>>138850474
>STEM
/sci/ pls go, your field doesn't do anything
>>138852121
It does everything worthwhile.

Science Tech Engineering Math, ya fucking NEET. do you need me to explain that too?
>>138852219
yes please explain

Don't worry, I'm sure your sociology degree will really change the world.

Kurisu invented temporal consciousness displacement, what has your waifu done for the world?
>>138852436
>Kurisu invented temporal consciousness displacement
>implying
>>138852219
Isn't math science too?
>>138852436
So mean!
>>138852436
become it's god
Kurisu a shit and doesn't follow lab protocol at all.
>>138853308
Not that her co-workers would ever complain

A meme.

Taught a guy with a heart condition how to run
>>138853364
I would if I were 2d. Lab safety is no joke.
>>138852857
Not a professional by any means, but I've always thought of math as more of the (basic) logic behind it all, while science relates those fundamental logical operations to observations of nature. Sort of like how Historians use English to describe History, Math is used to describe Science and its theories on predicting nature. While they overlap in lots of areas, I think the 2 are ultimately different in the roots of what they are trying to describe - Math being the logic, and Science being nature.

I'm sure Kurisu dresses non-lewdly when in an actual lab, but the FGL isn't exactly an accredited institution. Might as well dress casualso you can score some cute mad scientist dick
>she posts tits on @chan
>>138852857
Math is extremely fundamental. Essentially logic operations and deconstructions of the most basic ideas behind how science operates. It's used to describe, quantify, and interpret data that science generates.
>>138852436
>consciousness
>implying she would ever use in describing her work
>>138852857
Kind of? It is essentially the simplest form that we can express information.
>>138852121
I agree with you, having people flip McDonald's burgers is very important to me.
>all this STEM vs Humanities shitposting
>>138854991
>implaying that KuriGohan and Kamehameha wouldn't be the most euphoric STEM shitposter

What did she mean by this?
>>138850474
Daya
>>138855204
That replying to her with "Tits or GTFO" will not result in tits.
>>138855433
He never asked for tits though.Good fucking god I love their banter
>>138852121
Garbage man please.
Is math discovered or a human creation?
So many things can be explained with math, it almost seems the former.
>>138856448
It's a human creation that allows us to quantify the laws of the universe.
>>138853297
Lainon: computer engineering and psychology are covered under STEM.
>>138856502
This.
Modern math is basically "lets throw shit on the wall and see what sticks". Its just that basic math has been "reinvented" so many times to iron out the paradoxes that it started to fit pretty well.
How do I get smarter, /a/?
I never was too much into math and I'm awful at it. How do I start loving it?
>>138856716
Sorry to break it to you, but you either need to be born with it or "learn" how to like it in your first few years of life.
After that, it is impossible.
The people who say it is possible to learn to like math (and pretty much all STEM stuff) afterwards are retarded.
>>138856716
I'm the same way. I feel like the education system has failed me, because while I was told why math would be useful, I was never told why it could be interesting or fun. The "math is a chore" meme infected even the teachers and spread to their students.
I've signed up for a pretty technical job in the military, hopefully it'll make me more interested in problem solving.

Posting Ramanujan's reicarnation
>>138856716
If your issue with math was memorizing how to do shit, learn some programming or scripting. Find some python course, try making a html page, or learn how to batch/bash script. The very act of programming is just telling machines to do ridiculously simple things in sequence.

Is Lain a program or not?
>>138852121
I know its hard for aspies in STEM to not get triggered by insults aimed at the field, but this anon baited his hook with literally nothing.
>>138857165
Well as it turns out, this is a plot question left for the viewer to answer.
>>138857092
I didn't watch it all the way, but isn't she in a different club every episode?
don't spoil me please
>>138852121
>As he types this from his STEM made machine and the internet provided to him by the gloryful STEM.
>>138856771
I had this but was also lazy so never applied it much. Is it still possible for me? I feel like I could do it but I've always had trouble learning theory.
>>138856847

Sit in at a 1st year graduate course. Something like algebra 1 or introductory analysis and see how you like it.
