That's interesting music -- for some reason I can't get into black metal/music like that because I don't feel the emotion in the music. It almost feels more like they're doing it for the image and not necessary expressing frustration.

The music takes a more extreme approach since the people making it are more extreme in nature, there's a reason why one of the most prominent movements in black metal is the Nazi movement as opposed to screamo not having a attracting like that

This guy burned down a few churches (used a picture of one of them being burned as an album cover) and killed the guitarist of his last band. For the vocals on this album, he'd first scream until he started losing his voice and then record his vocals, he was also poor and couldn't afford an amplifier for his guitar so he had to use a glass table as an amp (however that works)
Also this is the band whose guitarist they killed. Their original vocalist, Dead (real name Per Yngve Ohlin), was whole new levels of fucked up, you should look his story on yourself since a post couldn't do him justice.
