Beerus falls in love with Goku.

Adaptation of Xenoverse.
Main characters are a Saiyan, Namekian, Majin girl and Frieza race summoned by Time Patrol Trunks and Supreme Kai of Time.
They travel to various moments of Dragonball history from DB to Buu Saga as well as alternate universes like the movies and GT, trying to stop Mira and Towa from screwing up history.
Demigra will act as the first season main villain and then the Dark Towa and Super Mira stuff with masked Bardock in Heroes/Online would also be include for the next.

Make it so saiyans are hard capped at a level that humans and Namekians can surpass if they have potential unlocks.
Saiyans need SSJ forms to reach new levels, which had been the fact that Goku's base form hasn't really increased since Namek and neither has Vegeta despite both training like monsters. They've obviously hit a wall.
Keep the 3 forms we have now:
SSJ1 is their base transformation. Allows better ki manipulation than before and causes mild bulking as a result which results in more efficient ki - strength/speed/endurance ratio.
SSJ2 is a focused powering using their ki reserves. Can't be held indefinitely but it's clearly above anything a normal SSJ can achieve by an order of magnitude, hence why Gohan easily thrashed Cell despite Cell holding back his power against Goku. Cell was the logical limit of a SSJ1.
SSJ3 is a forced potential unlock. That's why the description of how it works to Goten/Trunks was reaching deep inside and pulling out a power you find. This is why it's massively powerful but also massively stamina and power draining at the same time because it's effectively forcing all your power into a 3 minute time span and if you don't use it properly, it just totally wastes your physical body.
Keep those as the only forms and have 'Super' be the same shit as it is now except that God forms don't exist and that Beerus is just unsurmountable via any means because he's actually a god where as the Kais are caretakers who achieved their role by being vigilant and interfering in stupid shit. The Supreme Kai we had was from the worst generation and had an unfortunate circumstance in that Buu was just unbeatably resilient. We saw that even the strongest Kais could beat him about but he wouldn't stay down, same as Vegeta and Dabura when they fought him and couldn't predict his resilience.

You can use the same story as Super too. Just without God ki. Fusions to challenge Beerus with them using Gogeta, only to fail.
Vegeta never got his potential unlocked. He also trained alone. Whis will comment on this as well as Vegeta's mentality for improvement and why Goku outtrained him.
Frieza will be the same except that Whis' style isn't about making individuals into gods but his unique martial art which effectively removes inefficiencies in movement and ki usage, which would make SSJ2 much better and maybe increase the time span on SSJ3.
Frieza would basically be using his own 'SSJ3' while Goku comments that he should really have trained his form more since he once made that same mistake.
Same with the Champa stuff as well. Except without god form, you can arguably have a decent tournament. Make Frost a 'good' guy in that he's conquering for the benefit of his universe and all the factors of reversed.
Namekians are full on Demon King mode and openly try to wipe out others. The great disaster we know of was a war where the evil Nameks won in Champas universe. Kamicollo was sent to Earth and wiped it out in this universe when he saw what they were.
Saiyans are massive bros and actively fight to end oppression but still operate genocide campaigns against Namekians. They won the war against the evil saiyans in the past. No God mode though and they figured out another solution but don't have SSJ. This will be why they lack tails.
Frost's race (call them Chillies for now) killed their Frieza/King Cold elites instead of being wiped out by them. They now operate against the Namekian empire with the saiyans and the Chillie empire will basically be the Galactic Police Force but they conquer worlds to reinforce them against Namekians with either tech or training.

Champa's tournament has the same end goal as current Super but instead of Hit we have Kamicollo instead. Inter-team drama will occur on the Champa side as Kamicollo constantly talks shit how the other 4 are weaklings and only live because Kamicollo is too busy fighting other battles.
U7 Piccolo will mention how Kamicollo looks awfully young for his age, since he should be at least 200 or so years old at this point and they'll reveal that the Universe 6 Nameks made a wish in the past where every Namekian has eternal youth, meaning that they can breed prolifically by spouting kids, though only upto a certain generation.
Tournament proceeds normally in the first round. Botamo loses to Goku, though he is more like his manga form where he isn't a dimension user, he just doesn't take physical damage.
Frost fight will be the same as normal with Frost mentioning he trains at every opportunity and constantly abuses every method the Z fighters do, except he's nearly as old as Frieza was without any deaths. He lacks Frieza's genius potential over all though and his final form is just enough to play evenly with SSJ 1 Goku.
Goku loses to Frost on the even front (Frost has more fighting experience with opponents on his level since Goku either fought weaker or stronger opponents in general) and is knocked out.
Frost is exhausted and loses to Piccolo with Piccolo doing the same as the anime and showing he's a much smarter opponent and a crafty planner where Frost was stronger and wasn't used to fighting a weaker opponent who had better strategies.
The Frost x Hit scene is replaced with Kamicollo killing Frost while the rest of the gang take a break for a food contest between Champa and Beerus.
Champa comments on Frost being missing but Vados just shrugs and the next fight is Chibisaiyan vs Piccolo. Piccolo is stronger for the start and is pressuring Chibisaiyan into a corner while commenting that he is a weakling and nothing like the U7 Saiyans.

Chibisaiyan then proceeds to grow in power, unexplainably, while slightly bulking out. He then begins to knock Piccolo about and gets him with a ring out.
Vegeta begins his match shortly after and fights Chibisaiyan straight away in SSJ. Chibisaiyan grows in power again and Vegeta comments that it seems like his aggression is like an Oozaru. Chibisaiyan comments on how his saiyan ancestors somehow condensed the Oozaru into their base form and unlocked their potential doing so, since in DB, the tail was both their weakness and, from Goku, he always got stronger and faster with his tail. We also saw this slightly when Goku killed Demon King Piccolo and he channeled his Oozaru power into his punch. Piccolo mentions that Kami worried about the Oozaru mentality breaking through Goku's and removed the tail permanently to prevent an unstoppable opponent.
Fight will be generic as Chibi and Vegeta both keep pushing themselves with Vegeta going SSJ2 and Chibi putting out more Oozaru ki, while getting more aggressive as a result. Vegeta will be clearly stronger at this point but will play with Chibi, wondering what would occur if Chibi was SSJ capable. End the fight with Chibi losing in a beam struggle with Vegeta ala Cell style but Chibi surviving.
Next will be Robotguy. Robotguy will be gimmicky as shit but not overly powerful. Like he's got loads of weird weapons that do things like encase Vegeta in ice, increase gravity in his vicinity and so on. Beerus will mention its cheating and go crazy over Champa cheating but the ref can't find any actual weapons on the bot. They will be capsule weapons and Robotguy will be a human made machine that has been walking around Earth since Kamicollo wiped out everyone. Vegeta will win vs Robotguy but get a broken arm in a scene pretty much ripped from Android 18's fight. Robotguy will be totally out of weapons from the fight though.

Round 2 has Gotenks and Mystic Gohan doing a bit better in the struggle but still failing.

Robotguy will fight Monaka, who will turn out to be weak but his nipples forced Beerus to not focus on the fight and his 'strength' was basically a relatively weak level of ki boosted power against Beerus, who wouldn't be channeling ki, so he could at least cause damage.
Problem is that Robotguy is weak as shit without his weapons so we get one of those low tier punch fests like if we saw Mr Satan vs his underlings.
Monaka wins his fight barely and Kamicollo takes the stage.
Kamicollo just throws Monaka out the ring and Champa declares victory. Beerus threatens to wipe out Earth if he can't get his 5th fighter (buu still barred from entry ofc) and mentions that Champa still has to find the 7th Super Ball.
Champa submits after Vados reminds him that the fighters thus far were the strongest of that universe and that she didn't detect anyone else capable of beating Kamicollo, who was the single strongest Namekian fighter in their universe.
Beerus orders Whis to go and fetch the strongest guy that he can find in Universe 6 that isn't at the tournament and we get some plot build up for the next saga in the meantime as Cabo and Vegeta discuss the differences between their universes and so on.
Whis comes back a few hours or so later and portals in Gohan. Turns out that Gohan was a ki Whis had detected YEARS ago during the Buu saga and Whis felt he would be the strongest possible non-fused being after himself and Beerus.
After being whupped by Frieza and the guy Ginyu took over, Gohan had been spending every spare moment training, using whatever methods he could get his hands on. He had asked Bulma to spare him his wage while he trained and so every day, instead of being a bookworm, he'd gone to a secret area with a unique training room that Bulma had made him and together they had brain stormed how to make it as tough as possible.

Gohan agreed to fight in Beerus' tournament and mentioned to Whis that he didn't feel that he'd be able to keep up, since his year of training hadn't restored his prior glory. Whis shoves him into the ROSAT dimension in one of those training suits that we saw Goku and Vegeta training in while he travels.
Gohan begins fighting Kamicollo in base form and is somehow keeping up. Kamicollo powers up similar to the Piccolo vs 17 scene and he begins pressuring Gohan. Gohan gets up relatively unhurt and smiles. Goku comments on how he hasn't seen Gohan this confident in years. Gohan slaps Kamicollo around like he did Buu in pretty much the same way, with Kamicollo trying everything we've seen from Piccolo in previous fights.
Gohan comments that Kamicollo has no cards left to play. Kamicollo grins like a psycho and says Gohan has seen nothing yet.
Kamicollo begins spitting out eggs all over the arena which hatch into full grown evil Nameks. Gohan proceeds to be distracted by the hatchlings while Kamicollo charges up a massive amount of energy.
Gohan responds by knocking out the minions and doing the same. Massive beam clash engaged.
After the beam clash, turns out Gohan pushed his power too far and killed Kamicollo as a result which means Beerus loses the tournament anyway and Earth is taken to Universe 6.

Good saiyans? God ki that operates beyond normal ki? Unsurmountable opponents because of said ki? Frieza coming back, training for a few months and then surpassing said ki? A tournament where we have a weaker than Frieza on Namek opponent who somehow moves fast enough to keep up with a God ki Goku, who should at this point operate so far beyond a normal opponent that any motion should be dodged or plain ineffective, especially since Goku isn't relaxed either.
Super as it is happens to be shit. It ruined the entire appeal of DB in terms of action and tension because it's less consistent now than in previous Toriyama work to the point it's almost at the same level as GT, if not worse.
The only relatively decent thing to come out of it thus far was 'good' Frieza and he was still evil as fuck and arguably worse than Frieza since at least Frieza wasn't shy about what he did or tried to fool people into thinking he was good.

I've already written an autistic convoluted sequel to Dragon Ball in my head. The villains of the first saga are five Kaioshin from another universe. Basically they used the Potara to merge with the exceptional members of their universe and created a totalitarian regime. They come to universe 7 to take over it too and to get Namekian magic. I set it like 5 years after the epilogue.
