She is clearly reading the book "Hadae no shita" in that picture. Now that book has two different editions. The paperback one is divided to two volumes, which is clearly indicated on the cover.
But this one has no volume indication whatsoever, so I can only assume it's the hardcover edition, which is only one volume.
However, at the spine of the book, the order from the top should be author (Kanbayashi Chouhei)→title. But at this picture, the order is reversed.
