I enjoyed it the 3 or 4 times that I watched it, don't really want more, I think the 6 episodes is just fine.
The animation was also pretty good, I liked that.
I wish more shows put some time and money in animation, less shows per seasons at a higher standard would be a dream come true.
I don't get a lot of the fast talking nonsense. Maybe it's just a Japanese thing but I dropped it when the boy goes home and the moped girl is there his dad says some nonsense and I can't follow.

The closest anime has come to the fabled genre of 'nonsense literature'. It hints at having meaning but never quite confirms it.
I loved it personally, but I think whether or not you can enjoy it is predicated largely on how much you're able to put up with sudden style/tone shifts and how much you like the soundtrack.
Probably the only anime where I liked both the dub and the original VA

It holds a special place for me because of the context I watched in it. Seeing FLCL on toonami late at night was a pretty cool experience for a 13 year old. It is hard to explain to someone who might watch it with a lot of expectation or hype going into it, but seeing FLCL for the first time with 0 knowledge of what was happening was awesome. I think Eva is the same way. Some people feel it's overrated because they hear all the hype and go into watching with preconceived notions about what it should be. But for anyone who saw them growing up, it has a special impact.

I don't like old anime, I only watch good stuff like Attack on Titan.
I was probably too old to have the correct mindset to enjoy it, but I really liked it for what it is.
I actually enjoy it more in English than in Japanese, even if the dialogue during the manga sections is a little weak. Possibly the only dub to rival Cowboy Bebop. I think the original director helped pick the actors.

FLCL is one of my favourite things of all time. I lost track of how many times I've seen it but it's approaching 11~.
I remember seeing the whole thing in the time between waking up and going to HS (6:00~8:30) and I was just GONE that whole day.
It really speaks to me about how much of a story you can pack into a relatively small package and still have time for humour and character and very nice animation and fight scenes.
