Use .png for images, if you have older images saved as .jpg you can convert them in paint and reembed so they will play. To use 4cs player you need to use greasemonkey 1.15 and firefox 29 or lower, alt player will work with anything though. Read through the thread or check archive before asking questions.

4cs works with 4chanx and should be able to work with appchan/oneechan as well
also I pretty much found out at this point that normal .png embedding has been completely blocked at this point, so I left the stego embedder in the OP instead of the normal one, embed.exe doesn't auto convert music to .ogg so it has to be done manually, if the image comes out really blurry try enlarging it and it shouldn't look as bad
