So how many of you buy at least 10 Tankouban/other official merchandising equivalents a year? Are you doing your bare minimum to support the industry you begrudgingly love?
My country doesn't sell weeb garbage and I'm not buying it from Japan, so...
This year I've only gotten a few tankobans and figures. I bought Jojo Parts 1-6 in bunkoban form and Part 7 in tankoban about a year ago. Gotta say that the bunkobans (boxed comics) while smaller, are much better. They have higher quality paper and ink.

I don't fill my house with junk that degrades over time, books, BD, figurines included. Only essential furniture, entertainment goes into my hardrive. Any other way of living is wrong and a waste of space and money.
I buy two series (ond 3 and the other 4-5 volumes a year) and a monthly magazine.
I used to buy more, but all the new merchandising for my favourite series is premium bandai only. I hate premium bandai and premium bandai hates foreign money. Buying from them is such a pain in the ass that I won't bother.
I buy a ton of tankoubon, since the 1-2 months they take to get here annihilates my patience, so I buy something everyday.
That way, when a month has passed, I start getting something every day and I don't have to suffer weeks between one arrival and the other.

I put aside 2000$ for manga, every year since I started working.
I only tend to use about 1/2 to 3/4ths of the budget though. No scrolls or wallpapers though because of ordinance stipulations. No figures or daki either. as i don't want to move in to lalaland just yet.

So what series are you buying regularly? At the moment I'm getting Ajin, Akame ga Kill, Inuyashiki and a few others. I usually buy older manga like Yoshihiro Tatsumi and other gekiga style works though and just occasionally stick to stand alone volumes.
