So how many of you buy at least 10 Tankouban/other official merchandising equivalents a year? Are you doing your bare minimum to support the industry you begrudgingly love?
>>
My country doesn't sell weeb garbage and I'm not buying it from Japan, so...
>>
This year I've only gotten a few tankobans and figures. I bought Jojo Parts 1-6 in bunkoban form and Part 7 in tankoban about a year ago. Gotta say that the bunkobans (boxed comics) while smaller, are much better. They have higher quality paper and ink.

This question would probably get more positive responses in the buyfag thread. >>138678794

I don't fill my house with junk that degrades over time, books, BD, figurines included. Only essential furniture, entertainment goes into my hardrive. Any other way of living is wrong and a waste of space and money.
>>
I buy two series (ond 3 and the other 4-5 volumes a year) and a monthly magazine.
I used to buy more, but all the new merchandising for my favourite series is premium bandai only. I hate premium bandai and premium bandai hates foreign money. Buying from them is such a pain in the ass that I won't bother.
>>
I buy a ton of tankoubon, since the 1-2 months they take to get here annihilates my patience, so I buy something everyday.
That way, when a month has passed, I start getting something every day and I don't have to suffer weeks between one arrival and the other.

There's only so much furniture you can fit into a house. That leaves the rest for hobbies

Collecting a few series I like.
>>
>>138695197
Pilling up too much stuff will make cleaning take longer.
>>
I have a huge collection of figs, although I'm not sure how much money from those actually goes back to studios (presumably none or near-none if they do not own the license to the property).
>>
We have a thread dedicated to buying Anime merchandise. I buy to support the industry and get cute figures of my waifu.
>>
>>138694892
The last time I bought a volume was some years ago.

But I still buy figma sometimes.

>>
>>138694892
At least 10 a year? Yeah.
I put aside 2000$ for manga, every year since I started working.
I only tend to use about 1/2 to 3/4ths of the budget though. No scrolls or wallpapers though because of ordinance stipulations. No figures or daki either. as i don't want to move in to lalaland just yet.

Most NEETs live in an 8x8 prison cell they call a room, so there isn't much space for anything other than basic furniture.

10 a year is the max you can reach i guess... quality>quantity.
>>
I've started buying again since they've been localizing some good stuff, especially this month with Franken Fran coming out the last /a/ related merchandise I bought was the Planetes omnibus and Kizumonogatari,
>>
I've stopped buying tanks since I've been a NEET. Though I'm keeping a list of the ones I want to buy whenever I'll have the money to do so.
>>
i buy as much as i can but i dont have all that much money
>>
>>138700289
A lot of fun shit comes out though.
>>
>buying manga

Literally what's wrong with you? Get an e-reader and save all the money you waste.
>>
>>138701662
No thanks. Have fun reading your shitty 1000/1200/1600px ebooks upscaled in 10 years.
>>
>>138701662

>Needing to charge up your manga

No thanks, and I can't say no to those 3 in 1s or hardcover omnibuses.

3 in 1 is really the way to go and is how manga in the west should be.
>>
>>138701894
This honestly. I can't stand fucking ebooks

Woah, didn't expect someone to post something with such a superb taste.
>>
>>138694892
lel, what a faggot.
>>
>>138694892
10? Lol, I buy at least 50 a year. My parents give me way too much money for college.
>>
So what series are you buying regularly? At the moment I'm getting Ajin, Akame ga Kill, Inuyashiki and a few others. I usually buy older manga like Yoshihiro Tatsumi and other gekiga style works though and just occasionally stick to stand alone volumes.
>>
>>138702588
Barakamon/Handa-kun, Gugure Kokkuri-san, Akame ga Kill, Nukodzuke, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Noragami, etc.

I recently started Chichikogusa.
>>
>>138695994
then ow do you afford all those figmas?
>>
>>138702588
>At the moment I'm getting Ajin, Akame ga Kill, Inuyashiki and a few others
Ow, the edge.
>>
I'm fine. I'm sending a dollar to Oda everytime I buy a One Piece comic through Comixology.

Flushing the money down the toilet would have been more worthwhile
>>
Do you buy raws from Amazon jp?
>>
>>138704721

I've been meaning to get Nozaki-kun for a while.

>Nichijou comes out this month in English
>Servant x Service too
>>
>>138694892
10 tanks are like 5k yen. I spend twice as much on a single fig.
>>
I'll buy the hard copies for series that I really liked. I also thought if I had the hard copies that people would actually read them if I lent them but they still don't.

Just got the first Punpun omnibus yesterday, these things are unwieldy.
>>
>>138707829
Honto.jp is usually better for that shit

Shit, I really want that Natsume figure. It's beautiful, but I can't find it anywhere.

I have a BILLY full of manga. Too lazy to take a pic.
>>
>>138711935
They made some more recently, so I was able to get mine used on Mandarake for a reasonable price.
>>
>>138694892
hell no, I want this industry to die or at least transforminto something worst and die.
>>
>>138712427
Why are you even here?
>>
>>138694892
I probably spend around $1k / year on manga. I am in serious trouble with shelf space.

Excellent taste by the way. How is 星空のカラス?
