Entry-level "best animu EVAR" crap like Ranma and Ninja Scroll used to be back in the '90s, though maybe with better fujoshi appeal. The only reason /a/ remembers Ranma now is the gender-bender aspect from before that was cool.
I think a lot less stuff from now will become classics than deserve to be if only because of the tendency to make so many 13-episode (or less) shows with S2 NEVAR. If Konosuba really gets S2, it could make it.

Mostly the long running action shows. The high budget OVA/Movies also get remembered, by the people who liked them, but they're not really on the radar of the average weeb (things like Gunsmith Cats, 3x3 eyes, Armitage, Birdy, etc).
Then you have the forgotten, where 90% of the things made today fall into, aka ecchi, haremshit, short action series with no payoff, etc. Things like Lamune & 40 Fire, Burn Up, Idol Fight, Gowcaizer, Garzey's Wing, Maze, etc. The sheer volume of things made today isn't exactly helping either, as mediocre that would have been remembered years ago sink into the background a lot easier.
