How well would a 28days/weeks later style anime do? Kinda have the same feel as blue gender/neon genesis in terms of the survival atmosphere. No over the top Magic zombies with sayan like abilities, just pure infected human rabies ridden crazies vs humans from different walks of life. No cheesy moe, no huge tits bimbos with katanas and uzi etc. Just your run of the mill post apocalyptic zombie infested world where the characters deal with corrupt military, raiders, zombies, psychopaths, paranoid survivors, cults etc.

Neon Genesis has this feeling that hangs over the viewer's head of an impending doom. Like the world is fucked. Similar to attack on titan (except without out the BS "oh every has powers now"), the fact that man is powerless to do anything is a constant theme that adds to the feeling mentioned earlier
