The first three episodes were good. The rest of the first season was bad. Once things got to the second season, they were generally okay with a few high points.

I liked last seasons anine since focused on Yuuji's back story more than the shitty dumb sluts.
I'm never gonna play the VN though since that only just has the dumb sluts in a longer focus and not falling for fap bait shit.

It was okay, especially for VN adaptation. There were some bad parts, there were some good parts, there were some boring parts, there were some awesome parts.
Though that "survival" story almost ruined it for being insufferable dumb and too forced.

Anime was well done for what it did, but it was smashed together too much. If it had been 20+ episodes it'd have been good.

Yes, but another thing to consider is the length. It's probably the longest flashback segment in the VN, and those are normally fairly long to begin with. Also, you don't get this little gem to tell you everything's gonna be daijobu, it's"I'm going to cleverly get out of any responsibilities I might have, allowing me to goof off indefinitely, while leaving the reader and you, Amane, none the wiser."Not just that, but the ending is COMPLETELY changed, and they somehow made the stupid villain at the end of Amane's route even stupider. Also, naturally, because Amane's route is nothing but sex, 60% of it was cut from the anime. The other 40% is a significantly condensed, and very much less grave, shell of the camping episode. In the VN you're taken on a tour of the doomed group's descent into despair, but in the anime you watch them suck for like two episodes until Kazuki decides enough is enough.
But most importantly, although Kazuki was a major part of the anime version, she just doesn't get as much as in the VN. We didn't get to see Sergent Kazuki's wake up roll call, we didn't get candy gambling, the yuri scene was cut to like a fifth of what it was, and altogether it was just underwhelming.
Juicy Yuuji was best girl.
Asako and Kazuki were good too.

You can pour caramel over shit and eat them by one every day for a year, the basic filling will stays the same. The whole story with crash survival is dumb, and no amount of charismatic characters, genius writings, thought-provoking dialogues, clever schemes, or trilling suspense will change the basic plot line, only dressing it with pretty decorations.

The only reason I'm arguing for the route is because it's the only place Kazuki actually appears. The pretty decorations on top just make it all the better.
