So finally watching this movie, It was pretty ok. The holes in the story and the kind of pressured ending kind of ruined it. Music, art, and VA was great, just the story could've been better.
Even KyoAni can't save a shitty source material!!

I have been flopping back and forth on whether this is a 7 or an 8 in my book.
I think it's a good anime, but the ending just kind of went full retard. The movie did an okay job of tying up loose ends, but really just felt like it was beating a dead horse in a lot of respects.
Still, I loved it and thought it was an excellent experience at the least.

My best guess was that Mirai's mother's soul manifested itself as that ring, or was used to create the ring.
Still not sure how it made it's way out of KnK or somehow brought her out of KnK TWICE.
Like, if Akihito was able to come out of KnK, why wasn't Mirai?
But she did come out of it at the end of the movie, so what was with that bullshit at the end of the show?
