Their allegiance in battle so far has only been out of necessity. Norisuke was straight up nefarious until he had to work together with Josuke to beat Yotsuyu. Daiya was villainous until Josuke was charismatic enough to make her wet. Joshuu is still straight up antagonistic, but in an endearing dorky way. Jobin is antagonistic as all hell. Tsurugi was antagonistic until he fell in love with Yasuho's rockin' tits. Hato just brought home the biggest bad so far.
And on top of all of this, we still don't know why they accepted Josuke so readily. There are key things that Norisuke is not telling Josuke, and when push comes to shove and Jobin becomes openly villainous, much of the family will go to his side.

Where do you guys expect them to end S1 of DiU? Sheer Heart Attack seems like the best spot. It's the perfect set up for the second season since Kira has a new face and identity and they have no leads except his house. Iggy's death really chokes me up every time, along with how Polnareff handles it and the soul/spirit scene after the fight. Nothing in Jojo made me feel so melancholic as that sequence. I think part of it is because I really wasn't expecting things to take such a brutal turn.
Okuyasu's fake death probably comes in second place for me. I thought it was legit the first time I read it, how broken and panicked Josuke is got to me.
For some reason, after the first 4 parts the emotional moments didn't really affect me. I think it became increasingly predictable. Like the Gyro part is supposed to be a huge deal, but from the second you see his name you already know he is 100% going to die sacrificing himself for Johnny so I didn't really feel any attachment towards the character.
