Has /a/ ever gone to Akihabara?
>>
You think some dumb weeaboo autist can survive there?

I've been there in anime and video games.

Yes, last month.
Anything you want to know?

I've been there last November and I will go there again some time soon.

How do I pick up Japanese girls for a quick fuck?
>>
>>138604377
You go to the red light district and you pay them lots of money
>>
>>138604377
Go to local bar, ask for waitress and grope her. If she nod, then find a nearby hotel.
>>
>>138604317
Describe what it was like
I'm not OP, just curious
>>
>>138604440
Who the fuck wants to pay for whores and used up sluts? I'm talking about those pure OLs, cakes, university girls, and high school girls. Not those gyaru sluts though.
>>
>>138604317
I have questions.

- How do you manage your trash in there ? there's no trashcan right, should I bring it to hotel ?
- Whats the best way to get temporary internet service for your phone ?
- Should I bother with prepaid train ticket or it's more effective to just buy it normally ?
>>
>>138604377
The average Japanese woman weights 52.3kg (115lbs). A girl will of course weigh less.
Even without being in particularly good shape, you should be able to pick up and carry that much weight for a short distance.
>>
>>138604547
Anon, I have bad news for you.

Hahaha, you think any decent, Japanese girl/women with a shred of dignity would fuck some retarded foreigner? Nah, all you get is used up sluts who want to fuck exotic foreigner, so might as well get one easily and pay for her.

>>
>>138604555
been there 2 years ago
1- none outside, but inside most place have them
2- ask your company for the japan partner (or oversea promotions) or simple go to internet café and use their wifi
3- buy it normally
if you stay in tokyo, just use the trains
if you want to go to any major city without paying a lot, use intercity bus

>>
>>138605023
You'll 'probably' be fine. Watch your money though, it won't last long if you are on a short fuse when it comes to buyfaggotry.
>>
>>138604534
I am bad at this.

There is one main street, very bright and were most of the main stores are.
Then there is a parallel one, with more shady stores and second-hand shops, also full of maids/schoolgirls promoting their shops. You shouldn't pay much attention to them, they are like predators looking for their prey.
There is Love Live shit literally everywhere.
Despite the relatively small size of it you can go days without checking all the shops.
It's mostly Otaku heaven nowadays, but you can see some of the old Akihabara between the alleys and in not so easily visible shops.
Lot of old people selling electronic appliances, PC parts, and so on.
>>138604555
That has literally nothing to do with Akihabara but I will bite.

There are trashcans, usually near dispenser machines.
If you have a SIM free phone, you can buy SIM cards that provide you with a few GB and you can recharge them with your credit card if they run out. You can also rent a phone in Japan but it isn't as cheap, look it out.
No idea of what you are talking about here, the JR Pass?
>>
>>138605102
>That has literally nothing to do with Akihabara but I will bite

Of course it does, you faggot.
>>
>>138604669
I don't check much of that. Pretty sure the Don Quixote here has an entire section dedicated to Tenga.

Maid's cafes are hit or miss depending on the girls attending.
They are more enjoyable with friends and if your knowledge of Japanese is above average.
Always good to watch the girls in cute uniforms and their futomomo, though.

Not OP, but I went to a maid cafe in Akiba after getting shitfaced with a friend in Odaiba.
Went up the elevator to stop on the second floor, looked pretty normal. Was told we're going third instead. Dim place sort of place with strobe lights and music. The best part was that there was a group of 6 Japanese businessmen, aged between 22-60, all wearing animal ear headgear.

I couldn't really believe it when one of the guys started saying "nyaa" at the end of everything sentence for about 20 minutes.

My friend (who is sort of a closet otaku) turns to me and says "If these guys can have no shame in their love for anime and all things moe, then I won't either"
>>
>>138606289
I don't want her to know I like anime, I don't want anyone to know I like anime, that's why I'm on an anonymous image board.
>>
>>138605765
I always stay at Toyoko Inns in Japan because they're everywhere, they're cheap and basic (basically intended for businessmen) but you're not supposed to spend much time in your room anyway.
>>
>>138606183
>>138606219
They are all rigged, you have to work out the count by watching others and then wait until the the right time and then use it.
Basically every crane machine has a set number of fails before it will succeed, if it is 20 then you wait until someone else failed at it 19 times and then you go up and try at the 20th time.

I think slot machines are similar.
>>
>>138606390
You think people who like trains or something wouldn't make train noises or something whether or not they were in a group? It's the same shit, people who like anime don't have to be put in some mystical category.

>>
>>138606689
Cranes and slot machines are also designed to be really addictive with flashing lights, noises and lots of other shit to keep your playing.
Slot machines are the biggest money makers in Vegas.

I think a lot of MMORPGs use the same mind games as those machines.

Kind of overrated, but if you spend enough time and get lucky you can have a good time and find some cool shit. And unless you're used to big cities Tokyo in general can feel really oppressive.

Looks like a Toyoko Inn.

Petty comfy and reasonable price for a single room in Tokyo, but there are much better options.

Small hostels that mainly cater to Japanese travelers are always the best, in my opinion. $25-30/night usually very close to a train station, in-house meals are cheap and delicious, the owners are almost always cool as fuck and are fun to drink with and shooting the shit with them, and you generally don't have to deal with cringy fucking weeaboos and Australians. The only challenge is you need to speak a bare minimum of Japanese.

In my experience, quite a bit. More than in Zurich/Vienna at least. The escorts 'officially' only do blowjobs so you have to pay them more to actually fuck them, be sure to check what they're willing to do before ordering (actual penetration is illegal as such)
Also try Soaplands, they're fun but not all let gaijin in.
I've blown like two thousand bucks on escorts at my last visit, so it can get pricey, but it's fun.

Was military stationed in Tokyo at first, but went back a few times for vacation and work.

It can be a lot of fun to go alone if you can speak the language, plan ahead, and keep an adventurous spirit. I spent a summer backpacking Hiroshima, Tokushima and Wakayama. Was never bored because I would just go out and look for fun shit to do. Met a lot of cool people, hiked a lot of mountains, took a lot of pictures, and drank a lot of beer.

Not at all, mid-twenties mostly. Younger even, and younger still if you go to some club and get laid. Pretty sure one of them was like, barely 16. But it's hard to tell with them.
What I've found is that at first they're a little bit nervous around whites, the way normal people are around negroes, but then it turns into curiosity and/or excitement once they realize we're not gonna rape and/or kill them.

For me, I would spend a week or two in every location and take a train to the next. I had a backpack to carry all my day-to-day stuff and a few changes of clothes, and a larger piece of luggage for I'd mail to each new location via takyuubin service (either the post office or kuroneko company). I'd stay in mostly Japanese hostels and make reservations to each new place online a week ahead. It's pretty easy to make reservations because there are a shit ton of reservation service sites you can google.
Other than that, pack light and use the larger luggage as a storage for extra clothes and souvenirs and such. It's not hard to talk to people on your travels-- because most of them are going to come up and want to talk to you, first.

Aside from that, read up on places you think you'd like to go to, don't be afraid to talk to people and try new things on the fly, and try not to get overwhelmed by the freedom that comes with traveling alone.

Also, Japan sucks for public wifi, but Starbucks has easy access. Also this public wifi service called 'Wi2"will overcharge you to hell on the english site, but the Japanese site gives monthly access for about 5 bucks and is pretty reliable.

Absolutely.

Much shorter work days than the city (though with more physical work), hole-in-the-wall cheap yakitori bars in the evening, lots of natural beauty in the mountains to behold, farmer jiisans and baasans are friendly and based as fuck in all ways and are completely incoherent even if you are reasonably fluent, QT college girls (and boys) living with you,-- all of them are prime wife material, plenty of spooky ass haikyo ghost adventures, country-side cooking is hearty and amazing...

The only downside is if you hate the thought of living in the middle of nowhere in a tiny town. I love the isolation and laid-back pace, though.

Spoilering because blogshit.
We got really drunk and started hitting on girls with our broken Japanese in the red light district, Shinjuku I think, not too sure. That actually didn't turn out well, but just like moment later some uni/high school girls approached us and asked if we wanted to pay them. Surprisingly they only asked for 8000 yen, which is practically nothing. We agreed, took the girls to a motel and fucked (kinda like an orgy party). If I remember correctly they weren't too ugly, but they seemed like runaways from home because they were a bit dirty and smelly at first. A quick shower took care of it tjough. You could say we were very lucky. I don't have fantasy love stories to tell you how I lost my virginity but yeah, this is how I lost it. Kind of regretting it now. It's not the best thing imaginable.
