Evolution levels are more like guidelines, as proven by Greymon being needed for Shellmon in the beginning of Adventure, but Agumon being enough later on. Think of it like, each evolution has higher base stats but each Digimon has a level (like in RPGs) that increases its stats. Main 8 had loads more experience than the rest, especially the ones who aren't Agumon or Gabumon, since they had to train harder to compensate for lack of Ultimate/Mega forms.

The Child Digimon all together were enough to chase off Kuwagamon as well. They do get stronger, but that's more in terms of experience and skill in using their forms. The fundamental strength differences between a Child and an Adult isn't really gonna change, unless the Child is absurdly strong to begin with (see: Lucemon).

I like that. Also there's an implicance that everyone getting a digimon was a gradual process over the years. That was already happening during 02 so I don't care much. AtlurBallistamon, JagerDorulumon, RaptorSparrowmon and Shoutmon EX6 all received new official artwork and received profiles for Collectors (some pretty different from the manga like pic related). I don't think any of them is on the Reference Book but now it's more likely they'll be added when they existed just on an obscure manga.

I don't think Meicoomon is a source of infection, or at least wasn't until the end of determination. Hackmon definitely is, though, and he always seems to be close by Meiko and Meicoomon. Also notice how Meiko said that when she moved to the new school Hime helped her settle in. I think Hime is Hackmon's partner, and she gave Meiko Meicoomon and a fake digivice with the infection in them. But I think the infection was dormant in Meicoomon, the digivice was set up to trigger the infection whenever Hackmon or Hime wanted. They wanted to kill Leomon, for some reason. My guess is that he was infected but seemingly handling it, and Koushiro could have studied him and figured out the truth.

Is anyone else bothered about the Mega evolution of those two? It should have felt kind of epic, I felt that the animation was so shitty and so fucking quick, like, a fucking circle that goes down around the digimon and they already evolve? so much wasted potential
