Yeah it was censored as hell and I was thinking that while watching it but I think they got away with quite a lot all things considered. It was lewd as hell and they didn't really have a lot of choice regarding the censorship unless they wanted it to end up regarded as hentai and then it probably would have never been any kind of profitable.

She was a hypocrite, but the only annoying thing about her character was that they had her crazy and unrestrained, then for some reason made it so she was "pure" on the inside. It threw her entire speech about lovemaking being a great thing out the window.
I liked that she was rallying the cause for good sex education, but this being squeamish about female maturation and being shy around dicks ruined the whole thing. Even moreso that Tanukichi jumped ship from Anna because of his own hypocrisy on a "pure" world, not even bothering to teach the person he claimed to respect proper sex ed. Both he and Ayame could have been awesome, but it ended up being a by the numbers obvious love triangle, the ending results were railroaded to fit an out of place cliche for this story, and it turned me off.
Make no mistake, I don't care that Anna lost, but it took until the end of the LN for them to set her straight, AFTER her heart was broken by Ayame confessing to Tanukichi?! Did the author just feel like throwing this loyalty the two had for Anna out the window at first blush? I liked that friendship won in the end, but man that dropped the ball, and cemented Anna into just a caricature instead of the awesome member of SOX she could have been.

The author felt like he wanted to write more super humans but saving Anna at a reasonable time would just force him to write tons of FotNS and DRRR tier humans for the sake of keeping drama high and author is selling a questionably written romcom; not a battle series.

You have a show about being against an overly puritanical society but make the main female character a prude because men don't actually want a sexually free woman, they want a pure girl who is only obsessed with their dick. Tanukichi desired an unrealisticly pure person who was completely asexual, and only came to realize he himself missed the toilet humor and inaproriateness he loved as a kid playing with his dad by helping SOX.
