What does /a/ think of this show?
>>138582246
Watashi is perfect
Shit pacing, boring humor, boring characters.
PA PA PA RA PA PA PA RA
Good pacing, interesting humor, interesting characters.
>>138582369
and nice bait material too!. 10/10
Better than 90% of mondern anime.
>>138582246
A lot of people here like it, there's just not much to talk about.
>>138582920
>S2 never
>Translations never
Pretty dead, yeah. At least we know the ending.
What was your favorite episode / two episode arc?
Pic related for me, school arc was pretty great
>>138582920
Controversy breeds popularity. Which is why trash like Oreimo still hasn't been forgotten yet.
>>138583178
I have a soft spot for inanimate objects gaining sentience. The Oyage and Pion one was fantastic.
>Watashi and Y
>both lonely, weird and unable to make proper friendships except for each other
>one of them has a huge porn collection
How many times do you think they fucked?
Easily the Fairies Nation/City.
>>138583178
Island episode
Also, the ED for this show is amazing, i really wish Masumi Ito made songs for more shows
I remember Paradogs arc being utter shit and Manga arc being mediocre, everything else was great though
>>138582246
Absolutely lovely.
>>138583178
First two episodes with the factory. Island episode following up close behind.
Watashi a best girl. Period.
There need to be more protagonists who saw same shit and returned back.
>>138583581
Paradogs isn't that bad really. It's just not overtly funny and more mindbending and weird. I like that a show can spend two entire episodes setting up a terrible pun.
Also it demonstrated how most of /a/ is retarded or something because there were so many people who didn't get that the kid at the end was the grandpa.
>>138582246
It's great. I really can't find anything about it that I don't like. Other than S2 never, of course.
>>138583178
Island episode.
>>138583427
>Y
>Not assistant
how did the LN end?
>>138582246
10/10
Cute main charaters, but empty plot. Especially in last arc.
>>138582246
I don't use this word lightly, but I thought it wascomfy.
But the ending felt a little too "real" compared to the rest of the show's tone and caught me off-guard. It left me with an unsettling feeling and I think that's why I'll always remember this show. That last bit where she drifted off to sleep and made some remark about how her life was like a fairy tale was supposed to be sweet or cute but it felt a little ominous to me, considering how everyone (including Watashi) went crazy at that school two episodes before and how often she kept ending up in life-threatening situations. Those fairies are going to be the death of her.
>>138583178
>What was your favorite episode / two episode arc?
Island. School was interesting for reasons above, but it wasn't my favorite.
>>138583936Assistant is the last human
Everyone else are fairies
How much more material does the LN cover? Would it be enough for a second season?
>>138583969
>empty plot
You really had no idea what was going on did you
>>138582246
What is sex with this semen demon like?
>>138584359
There's 3 half volume stories that the anime skipped over, 2 half volume stories beyond the anime (vol 7), then 2 full volume stories after those (vol 8+9), plus a short stories volume.
It would be possible to fill a cours even with just vol 7-9.
But it's not going happen now, realistically.
>>138583178
Ave Maria with falling chickens nearly killed me.
That and the entire episode that was just a set-up for the time paradog joke.
Is this Romeo's magnum opus?
Toe cleavage.
>>138585117
What is happening here?
>>138585313
Tampon fairies.
>>138583936In vol 8, the grandfather left on a trip to the Moon on a discovered shuttle. Contact with the shuttle was lost and at the end the protagonist gets a letter to the effect he's presumed dead. But she believes her grandfather is still alive on the Moon as she had got a message from him while in an augmented dream, so in vol 9 she tries to go rescue him.
While in an augmented dream she goes on a train (Galaxy Express 999 style) which takes her through human history so she can search for a way of getting to the Moon. She sees early encounters between humans and fairies (originally non-corporeal entities that were drawn to humans) and learns humans built a space elevator with fairy help, and one on the Moon. She sees her own early childhood and sees that her parents thought she may have had strange powers when a child (one of the stories in vol 6 dealt with 3 children like that too).
She makes it to the Moon and eventually finds her grandfather, but his body is no longer alive and it's only fairy power maintaining his consciousness (two other people he had travel with him are in a similar state). The grandfather had also gone on the trip seeing human history, but he hadn't skipped parts the protagonist did (as she'd just been looking for a way to get to the Moon). He implies that he learned a truth they'd been misunderstanding: rather than being the remnants of a declined humanity, they are fairies who have have specialized to live as humans because they admired them. The small fairies are what they've pushed outside of themselves as part of specializing. The protagonist is tempted to bring her grandfather back to life, but doesn't, which he says shows her humanness.
The protagonist is initially stuck on the Moon but her friends come to help her return. The grandfather (who is going to depart exploring in non-corporeal form) drops hints about the assistant seeming qualitatively different from other people and how he can't use magic.

>waah, his dick is so small
>why did my life come to this
>I want him to hurry up already
>>138582246
Show was brilliant. Comedy was great, series was fun. Protag was fantastic. We'll never have it air again.
>>138582246
It's great.
>>138583786
>assistant
>Not Curly
I want to hug with Watashi and brutally rape the robot catgirl.
>>138582246
>Kishi
Loved this anime, did the novel ever truly explained why the umanity declined?
>>138592722
It's basically just hand-waved.
I also don't think it makes sense of why,in light of the big reveal, there's been a decline from the grandfather's generation to the protagonist's (leading to stuff like all the schools closing).
>>138592722
You don't need novel to explain that.
Just look outside.
Births declining.
Wars starting.
AIs raping humans.
Etc..
>tfw no good watashi doujins
Amazing show, great visuals, pretty good OP, best ED I've heard to date, interesting MC and one of my favorite episodes in episode 9
>>138594592
Is there are doujin where she's tied down Gulliver's Travels style and all the fairies gather around and jack-off onto her?
>>138594694
>sexualising the mediator
>>138594922
I want to commit an international crime!
>>138594922
She is made to be sexualized.
>>138594986
>>138595189
Please do not sexualise the Mediator
MITTEMIMASHOU
Can anyone explain the scene at the beginning of episode 8 to me? The one where the fairies were playing ball with the head of one of them
>>138595787
How does morning watashi smell like?
>>138596895
Strawberries
>>138598335
Strawberries and my cream.
>>138583285
This. I don't know why people like it the least, it's one of my favourites.
Also, anything with Y.
>>138590884
>>138582246
>What does /a/ think of this show?
Well, we talked about it when it was airing, and for some time after that too.
It need another season.
>>138600893
Or at least another OVA.
That one where she turned into a fairy was great and would've been better if the episodes weren't so short.
I probably should pick this show back up. I stopped watching about 6 or 7 episodes in, mainly because it was starting to drag on with the past couple archs. The first two episodes were great though. Does it get any better towards the end?
>>138583936
No John, you are the fairies.
Found it kinda fresh/amusing a first, fast forwarded through manga episodes, dropped at robots episode.
>>138583969
>empty plot
>>138583178
Island arc
school arc was my second favorite but it ended to abruptly
I thought it had a pretty obvious association with fairy tales, since it obviously focused on fairies and the MC was smart but absolutely fucking clueless and got roped into all their schemes.
Any other animes in that category I could watch? Unconcerned with continuity/lore and focusing instead on discovery/mystery/magic?
>>138601849
It does, not wverything is great, but you are missing a few gems.
>>138582246
It's amazing, easily one of my top 5's for sure. Also, the VAs are absolutely amazing.
>>138582246
Watashi is literal perfection. The show itself is fun too
>>138585640
What strange corner of your ass did you pull that out of?
I wish there were more doujins
>>138582246
Overrated show and overrated MC.
>>138609162
>overrated MC
Hey, boy, that's not a fairy nice thing to say.
