Because we have jack shit of it. The last gender-bending anime in recent times was the To Love Ru OVA from two months ago, and after that the Maken Ki 2 OVA from three years ago.And also the genderswap episodes of Gintama, but those were more comedy-oriented.
The closest we could get to a new TG series is either an adaptation of Remix Heart (look at the BlazBlue anime to see how that would work out), Boku Girl (which I am not fond of), or Boku wa Marie no Naka (see Aku no Hana AND it's not TG).
