He is a hero who wants to purge evil. Since Frost turned out to be evil, he will purge him.

Either Hit is doing it for personal reasons (much like Goku would stop Frieza even if Frieza didn't directly attack them) or Champa orders him to. Either way he can only do so because Frost won't be under Champa's protection after Vegeta wrecks him.
Probably the former because Champa could just blast Frost himself.
