Out of the Big 3 LN which is the best written? I would say SAO since it at least tells a coherent story and doesn't try as hard as Mahouka and Index in sounding "smart." Also the author has done nothing but improve over time while Kamachi stays the same (not saying much) and the Mahouka author has gotten worse. SAO also has the best art of the three as well.
tl;dr: SAO is best of Big 3
