First one is how I usually go with skin tones. Notice how the saturation sticks to the top for a while before finally starts descending, this is usually with bright backgrounds and lighting (which is what you'll probably end up doing most of the time)
Again, don't forget to adjust the hue as you go darker or brighter, that wasn't included in these two examples!
