I just downloaded the whole series on a whim but I'm getting a bit bored at the end of the first season. I did enjoy all the emotional drama at the start, shit hit me like another Cross Game, and the idea of seeing Goro grow up throughout the series really appeals to me, but does it end up just being repetitive games like DnA? I got really fatigued with that one.

I just read all that's been translated. That was very nice with all the parallels drawn to their dads, I hope this isn't some bait and switch and Daigo doesn't suddenly turn into a super talented player like Goro. Having the MC start as unspectacular but with a passion for the sport plays better into the themes of loving baseball than an MC like Goro who is super good at the sport.
The first rule of baseball anime is you will never actually get to see them get to play in Koshien.
