For stuff like Pretty Rhythm or Jewelpet or Precure it was fine having yearly series with the same names, but Aikatsu is a name that is established over almost 200 episodes as something special, so I think it's ridiculous they are still using the name for the new series, seeing as it's clearly not Aikatsu.

I think it sucks completely that we have to see something as fun and comfy as Aikatsu go away for a drama ridden uggu kawaiifest I could get from almost any other anime, there weren't many anime like Aikatsu, but there are a lot like Stars, so it's a bummer.

This stuff is pretty much like how JP became Unlabeled after Twinkle happened, except our Unlabeled is an almost 200 episodes show, so I don't mind it at all, because I have seen this happened before, but it can't be helped, I'm pretty sure on this thread there are people that have just watched Aikatsu and no other show for little girls.

To be fair PR only lasted 3 years so I wouldn't put it in the same bracket as JP and PC. I guess AD and DMF follow each other and did last for 2 years, but even then I didn't see anyone bitching when RL was announced even though the chara design is so differentbecause there was only 3 people watching PR back then anyway
