Hellsing Ultimate was pretty good for a "Nazis coming back" story, minus the whole lack of Jew hating. Then again, all the major cared about was beating Alucard and he wasn't even a major fan of Hitler or forming a Reich. Okay, so maybe it wasn't a great use of nazis, but rather just cool nazipunk shit.

It's not overdone. Good anime or manga with actual samurai and ninjas are not very common. And as for the serial killers, I managed to count Monster, Erased, Death note in an extent, and Pluto even if it's about robot killers. I mean serial killers are completely overdone in western media yet I don't see a lot of manga treating the subject, that's kinda weird
