Part 3 was kinda boring with the villain of the week setup, but 4 onwards combine the style of story from parts 1 and 2 where each fight actually has something to do with the overall plot and not just another assassin with the creativity and weird shit that Stands bring to the table. You'll definitely enjoy the part 4 anime over part 3. Plus the protagonists' Stands aren't as vague as SC's protagonists so they have to find clever ways out of situations and not just punch their way out like Jotaro. Although Jotaro is far more interesting and likeable in part 4.

Manga is great and has only been getting better for the last 10 years, I don't know how Araki manages. The anime is pretty good, and the English speaking fanbase is absolute cancer.

He never got past the fourth volume, so I read it through completely a year or so back and am now picking up the sweet hardcovers Viz is putting out. I'm just starting the first volume of Battle Tendency and, just five pages in, I already like young Joseph a lot more than Jonathan.
