The manga from what I read was very meh. Characters I like didn't get much showings and strong focus on MC while off paneling everyone else isn't helping and 3 fucking Natsu from Fairy Tail is off putting. I'll still watch the anime though. Maybe bones will fix some of my problems if filler or something.
Tsuyu's the only character I like. Wish she'd get more screentime/character development. The fanbase is annoying as hell and makes me cringe.

I really like it, I enjoy pretty much every character and I think the mangaka has done a good job at making the manga fun to read. This last arc has been pretty great. Zoo and Barrage were some of the most repetitive and generic manga I've ever read. It's like Horikoshi read One Piece and tried to replicate it without any of the subtlety, and One Piece isn't exactly subtle.

In the same chapter he states that the regen quirk was useless because it only heals the body to the state it was on, so as he was already injuried he could not regenerate those parts becaue the quirk didn't know how to.

BnHA is miles better. For one, they don't feel the need to keep repeating the same mantra over and over again like they did with "I only want to have fun" in Zoo or "muh family" in Barrage. I guess they do use "because I want to be a hero" a lot, but that's significantly less annoying. The characters are better, the powers are more interesting, there's at least some character development in every arc and the pacing is much smoother (but still a bit fast).
MHA is very generic in concept, but it's well executed. Zoo and Barrage are much more unusual concept with dull as dishwater execution.

The thing with Deku having the highspeed regen Quirk doesn't make sense. All Might's fight against AFO was only 5 years ago. AFO said he found the highspeed regen Quirk too late and because of that he now has to heal in a natural way.
