Yes yes, it's pretty bad I know. If I had started one season earlier, I could have watched Madoka and Steins;Gate, but no, I just had to start with the crappy summer season of 2011..well it wasn't that bad, there were quite a few noteable titles from that one.

According to what I learned about the anime due to reading the Saenae Metronome manga, after a season is done either:
1)the author is tired from being involved in the production
2)the author is tired from the response of the series of not being involved in production
add to that that the anime is a balancing act to satisfy everyone, newcomers, investors, manga fans, etc.
Its basically like threading the needle of a camel.
Its great that it even got an anime, but in the end its just another one of those interesting shows that we'll never see more of.
