In this scene he's returning Avalon to Saber, thus losing it's protection, meaning that he will now "die when he is killed" like a normal person rather than have Avalon keep him alive despite sustaining fatal wounds.

Yeah, I haven't got anywhere near the time for Grand Order, and reading shit about it doesn't really give you a feel for anyone's personality. Plus, even if the writing is great, I doubt most of the GO-only Servants get as much development as any of the ones that get to have arcs over whole series.
That said, I think Beowulf's design is kind of meh, and you compare his personality to Achilles, who I also think is pretty meh, so I'll probably still side with Strange Fake Jack because he's so much more conceptually interesting and really stands out from the crowd as Berserkers go.
