It's been awhile since I read it and I'm a lil slow on comprehension, but why exactly did Griffithrape Casca at the Eclipse? I never understood that part. I thought the whole thing about Femto was supposed to be like escaping humanity and his failures, and later he acts as if Guts is completely worthless to him, so why did he take the time at the Eclipse to do something that was seemingly very out of character for Griffith AND Femto? I mean, what was the point, they were both supposed to die there anyways unless he somehow knew they'd get saved? They both would have been dead if the apostles just killed them and didn't waste time on torturing them. Seemed like it was just added to be unnecessarily edgy.

Humanity is saved in Falconia, his armies will save the people around him, but that's at the cost of fucking up the world, and he knew what would happen.
