It went from a chore to watchable, sometimes enjoyable.
Though I have to say, it's not marathon friendly as the monster of the week format is a real turnoff for some.
I think the greatest sin is the dull as fuck fights. They just flip around a bunch, and as soon as they get a hit in, it's over. While HnK had more intense fights, hell even Mecha-Garo was more interesting that 80% of the fights in GnT

Garo has great fight choregraphy, the animation quality has ever really been all that great but the choregraphy of the bigger fights is top notch, Leon Vs Alphonse is better than the vast majority modern TV anime fights choregraphy wise. It has a rare sense of momentum and lethality to it.

All it did was help. Its death is not amusing and lands like an insult. It also ruins Shiki-nyan, who I had trusted. I don't know whether we can recover from this, Garo.
