Great episode. The Nobunobu scenes were really tense, was on the edge of my seat. Also great to see Zurako in action for the first time in 200 or so episodes.

They would have to slow down on production of the anime anyway or do more anime original stuff, which: This is Gintama, that shit ends up fantastic and usually isn't serious.

Also considering Gintama has well over 300 episodes and keeps coming back from the dead, I don't think it's an issue. Even if we don't get more seasons immediately, which I would enjoy it if it just stayed on the air perpetually, they'll get to animating everything eventually.

To be honest, the manga is great anyway and they would be foolish to not eventually animate everything that's happened thus far.

As far as serious stuff, Jiraiya Arc at 177-180 and the fucking magnificence of the Jirocho/Four Devas Arc I think at 211-215.

For me, it took a lot of time for Gintama to become consistently funny (especially since I don't like all the characters). I definitely enjoy it a lot more after the 200 episode mark. The comedy episodes at the start of the 2015 have been some of my favourite. The humor is more effective after spending a lot of time with the characters and familiarizing myself with the running gags
