The WN up until that point consisted of Spider POV chapters and side chapters from other reincarnated people from the same class. The ratio of spider to not-spider was around 10:1 or so.
A bit after Shiro became humanoid, that ratio flipped and we've been getting less than 10% spider chapters.

I read through the thread and found out about kumo and read the manga.
I found the LN from the thread and began reading. It was my first time reading a light novel. Broken English is difficult to understand, and it's hard to tell who's talking sometimes during conversations.
I'm this far (210), but I don't really like how the story is going.I think the story became less interesting once kumo apotheosized

Agreed, moving away from the dungeon survival grind story has hurt it since it's basically ripped out its own heart.

Not nearly as much, but the current arc seems to be reaching a conclusion so I'll reserve judgement until I know if we'll be going back to spidercam or sticking with angstyotherpeoplecam.

Really? The LN in Japanese? Because the only english translations are of the WN.
The WN is the web version, which is what turb0, blastron, and raisingthedead have been translating, because that's much easier to copy and then plug into google translate.
The LN is the published physical book version, there's some changes from the web version. It's not been translated, and the raws aren't even scanned yet as far as I know.
I haven't read the LN version, so maybe you're right, but what you described sounded like the WN version, and a lot of people tend to call the web version the "LN".
