Yeah, I use irssi myself, but ultimately they're all the same protocol. That's one of the reasons IRC has hung on so long after all, there are lots of different clients from different people and aimed at different people, which also means if any one maker dies it's not problem overall. A replacement for IRC would be something more like Matrix, an actual new open communication protocol, not just some new client software. Though at least for now everything promising still has a ways to go outside of specific use cases.

I've found utilities that can OCR subs out of a blurryray graphic subtitle file. I've done it twice, the 2nd time with the Ohys-raws sub for the Love Live movie then I added and times the song lyrics, even for As Time Goes By. I'll have to find the name for what I used because it didn't crash on the file.
