I fucking love Active Raid
As a fan of Super Sentai, this show is SO good. Like, you guys don't even know. You're all complaining about how it looks compared to Patlabor and the real comparison is that it's clearly a riff on Tokusatsu, and from there it's just...awesome. Sentai has been garbage for like two years straight (probably three, this next one looks so bad) and this is just refreshing to watch. It takes so many elements of classic 80's/90's Sentai but still makes its own twists and embraces the freedom one gets from being an anime as well.
I found out this got two cour yesterday and I couldn't stop smiling. It's episodic right now because Sentai's always episodic at first but this episode has already sown future plot points for actual story later on, which has me hyped.
Is there anything good that's airing that I haven't seen yet?
Rakugo is phenomenal so far. Erased is pretty good, I wasn't sold on the first episode but the second was significantly better so I hope they maintain that standard of quality. Dimension W is kinda cool. It's nothing to write home about but as long as it stays fun I'll stick with it, also I wanna fuck the robot. Grimgar's the worst when the characters open their mouths, but otherwise the direction is fantastic and looks amazing. Second episode was great, for the most part. Haikyuu!! is still good, and Osomatsu-san (besides this last episode I thought was eh) has been on a winning streak the last six-ish episodes.

IMO Rakugo is the actual standout show of the season but without A-1 marketing, Yuki Kajiura music, and Yuki Aoi casting and just rolling with a bunch of old school super vets like Seki Tomokazu and Megumi Hayashibara it'll never get a fraction of the attention and notoriety that Erased is getting. Shame because it really is good and not just yet another teen drama noitaminA thing.

It's a mecha show since it's unfortunately kind of DoA. Likewise Dimension W which has been rock solid for 2 episodes but barely getting any attention compared to the latest A-1 thing cause it's sci-fi and doesn't have a bunch of big names slapped on it like Aldnoah or Gate. It's not like it wasn't promoted either, just people are fucked and can only see stuff like Erased as any good.
I really like the Dimension W op. His dance in the beginning reminds me of jet set radio future somehow.
