Rahxephon is a nearly empty exercise of style. It tries to do the same as Eva but it doesn't realize Eva's apparent plot is just a container of Shinji's internal journey, and all the Eva's imagery works towards that goal. Haruka is the only good thing about that show, imo. The entire plot/mystery hinges around people either not telling others the story (excluding Haruka) when they have many chances or cutting off people who are about to tell the mystery.
