I think that it's kind of refreshing how both the main characters seem to not fuck up regularly.
Usually in shoujo what drives the plot is one or the other of the main pair not being good at romance and screwing it up. It's really tiring.
What I like about Akagami is that they're both adorably smooth operators, and the conflict comes from external sources. You really want to root for them.

I like it. The music is well-orchestrated and emplaced (seriously, I've never seen such consistent usage of music from start to end of an episode in any non-movie anime production). Shoujo tropes don't really bother me, and honestly, I like the characters.

The anime is a 1:1 of the manga up book 7, which means it's just a huge introduction, also the only good adaptation Pierrot did in 2015. Far less romance than Shirayuki but the hints are obvious, it's more of a adventure shoujo manga. Too bad the really good adventure arcs only begins up the point where the anime ends.

It's gotten repetitive and boring. All we have is some special reason to be a special snowflake (red hair) and that she basically stole everyone's attention and glances (typical girl fantasy).
