Out of all the young characters of the show I'd say she is the most normal. I agree, she's very emotional but she is also in middle school and a girl, I'm sure all of us were worse when we were in middle school. She goes through an immense amount of stress and pressure so I can't fault her for being emotional and acting the way she did.
Plus doesn't all of that get resolved by the end of Medusa? She accepts her hobby and finally decides/realizes Araragi is bad for her. Granted I haven't started Owari yet so this might change.
