Japan has discount and dollar (100yen) stores like the US. He could get a new set of cups for very little money, but Saitama is exactly the kind of frugal person who uses things until they're unusable.

The reason why I think he actually enjoys it is because sometimes he invites Genos to have fun together. Like in pic related, or when he wanted to go treasure hunting, or in the festival drama CD.

Well her backstory shows what happened to her when she was a kid so there's some explanation.
But really what has she done wrong; failed to beat Garou and tried to help her sister. These aren't the actions of someone who's purely selfish or malicious. Metal knight, in comparison, has done plenty wrong.

Metal Knight, as selfish as he is, does plenty to help out. Such as rebuilding entire cities in just one week. I'm also sure that he helps around the HA and gives them the technology they need to defend themselves against the threats. Also if it wasn't for King stepping in when he did, Tatsumaki and Genos would have most likely been killed. Tatsumaki just projects her issues onto Fubuki and would not hesitate to crush anybody who come into contact with her. She's far from "not doing anything wrong".
