It's more than enough to grab a HS script, slap it onto a raw and rely on my ears whenever the "professionals" make a habitual slip. Sometimes the HS rips are even indistinguishable from raws in terms of the video, so it becomes even easier.

And I can assure you the people complaining about it don't remember what it's like to have to wait until the first cour of Code Geass was done to get a whole batch pack. Why do people actually prefer honorifics in subs in the majority of cases? Most anime viewers don't even notice that their usage in subtitles is rarely even consistent with what is being said. I've lost count of the number of times that I have heard something like -dono and the subs have -sama instead.

It was the beginning of the decline. Maybe when video playback programs natively playback 10bit it will finally be right to release in 10 bit. Subbers were impatient, thought "this would be a good opportunity to decrease bandwidth issues, storage difficulties, etc"

They only started releasing 10bit over 8bit when CCCP had support for it.
VLC couldn't do it well at the time. But that wasn't an issue, because libass wasn't supported by fansubbers either (because it couldn't handle typesetting well at all).
