I found it really amusing, kind of comical for some reason .. can't put my finger on it but for example seeing Yuno grab an actual bag of bread is hilarious to me. It's also an interesting contrast bringing in real-world objects into a slightly surreal setting. I really wish they kept doing that throughout the series, although I guess it's nice in its own way that the show subtly evolves season to season in look and feel.

They did a really good job in the last season to allude to the graduation as "the point of no return." Even knowing that, man was it a hard-hitter.

Wow, this is a good thread for a show that hasn't had new anime for two years. Then again the content is a step above other slice of life, I'm glad the same can be said for the fans. I watched the first season a few years ago and am looking to get back into it, if you were in my position would you watch the rest of the anime seasons+ovas and then read the manga, or read the manga first and then get to the anime? Either way I will probably space it out, but I'm leaning towards anime first just because I sometimes get bored watching stuff I've read, but I usually don't mind reading content I've watched the adaptation of

I definitely like the manga more, but 365 is a great season, so you should probably at least watch it. After Hoshimittsu they start skipping chapters, so it's around that point that the manga starts to feel more whole.
But even if you read the manga first, the anime still has plenty of original content, although the later seasons have less.

Some people love GA because it focuses more on art trivia than Hidamari does, but I didn't find it that interesting. Sketchbook manga is great.

They don't really focus on the cats in the same way in the manga, outside of Shucchouban, so it's interesting they decided to do that in the anime.
