So you have these worthless rocks that are suddenly valuable because someone convinced people they were good luck or whatever. So how does that cause the price to steadily increase for an indefinite amount of time? I get the hypothetical idea that the price would continue to increase, but in order to SELL something someone has to be willing to BUY it, and who's going to buy some rocks that supposedly give good luck if they're 100 times the original price? Also isn't it basic economics of supply and demand that with a huge supply that the price will be low? As in wouldn't it be extremely likely that some non-retard would sell his entire stock for the current price (which in the episode the idea of a "current price" doesn't exist because nobody is selling. I just finished the 16th myself here last week and it was great. Some odd grammar issues keep popping up in some of the lines though but its nothing to get too fussy over.
I really like how the characters actually do progress and change through the series though. There are quite a few semi lewd scenes between Holo and Lawrence towards the end. Ignoring the bonus volumes 7, 11, and 13. Volumes, 6, 7, 8, and 12 were all a bit disappointing, 14 was alright if only for the ending. 15 & 16 are really the only ones that got close to the original feel of the first 5.

What aspect? There are some battles and "tense" moments, the medieval scenario (I only refer to the landscapes and places) is cool but underused as they adapt too few "plots" for it to be a relevant aspect and so it basically fails at adventure/exploration.
The only reason left to consider it comfy are the characters: the support cast rotates and that's cool yet bad because they're more interesting characters than the bland mc and her irritating waifu (unless you're a furry which self inserts which was my point to begin with).

Initially it's mostly because it's along the way on his trading route and he expects her to pull her weight, but he gives up on that idea later. That was in volume 10 when Lawrence gets back drunk from chatting up the merchants in the tavern to try and learn more about the wolf bones. He gets back to their room and passes out, when he wakes up Holo asks him what he learned, being patient enough to wait for him to wake up, and he tells her he didn't really learn anything useful. Lawrence apologizes for being merely "a simple traveling merchant" and that is the extent of his abilities and that she could just break into the church and steal them instantly. Him saying that upsets her because it implies he's useless, they argue a bit and Lawrence leans into her chest and says something along the lines "please bear with it a bit longer" in that image. Meaning he's trying his best and he'll do anything he can do.

Ika Musume was popular enough at this late time to get a tie-in with Nintendo, so it has more chance for new stuff than most "new season never" shows. S&W too actually, though not to that extent since the source material is over. But hey, if FMP can do it we can always hope.

That's from a bygone era when publishers thought LN's were the Japanese equivalent of Teen Drama, so they put disgusting 3D covers on them so the books wouldn't look out of place next to twilight or whatever shit publishers put out to capture the wanna-be-valley-girls-but-aren't-popular-enough-because-reading-lol slut market.
Yen Press quickly realized they were wrong when people emailing them to say they were boycotting because of the cover more than tripled actual sales.

They're pretty shitty compositions, the costume is garbage, and the girl really isn't very attractive, nor does she look much like Holo. It was a pretty terrible decision to be honest.
How is the Yen Press translation actually? I haven't read past what Baka-Tsuki did and they quit after it was licensed.

Yen Press's translations are OK. I wish the translator took MORE liberty with the text.
Hasekura really isn't that good at writing... at least in certain places (i.e. physical descriptions).

Yeah, from what I remember the first volume had a kind of fanfictiony feel to it, as if they were trying to translate something that wasn't terribly well put-together in the first place. I guess I might as well read them though. Considering how emotionally invested I am in the series it's a wonder I haven't yet.

For example, instead of
