Bubuki's is at least better than most anime CG and the character animation seems to be better than what Polygon is capable of at the moment, so that's at least something, but hopefully all "full CG" anime can look as nicely animated at Etotama a few years down the line.

None of them in club are actually interested in "VNs"/Eroge. The exception are the artist and programmer - rest either heard about VNs for first time when were invited, or are not intereseted in otaku stuff.
Also yeah, while its "Eroge" for reason - sex is not really the obligatory necesserity: it just help the VN sell, so even all-ages stuff uses it for marketing (and to be honest, sex scenes in most VNs that arent Nukige are badily inserted scenes having no relation to story often).
That said, VNs as media are shit. If you want good story you just read a book. Advantage of VNs is just that its easy media to get in for producers - where no special talent is required and one can sold meh product while being shit artist, bad writer, and subpar VA having no chances on other markets.

Each medium has some strength, otherwise it would not exist. Some of the advantages of VNs are:
- Voice acting, music, and sound effects
- Branching story, allowing the exploration of multiple routes/paths
- Can support large amounts of text
No other medium has all of these, especially if you consider creation cost that greatly affects anime. Personally I really enjoy listening to voice acting, so I am a fan of VNs as a media.

I am no telling VNs are bad per se or cant be enjoyed. Just telling story/character wise its inferior media to "proper" ones (rare exception being some staff that just ended up working in VN companies for long and dont branch out for whatever reasons).
It can serve as kick board for future scenario writers/character designers - but generally it just boost their popularity allowing them enter media they`d normally fail due to lack of skill (Maeda, Urobuchi, Murata).
The only real advantage of VNs is lack of conventions quite restricting book genres - you can try making the most Chu-ni and retarded story in VN and it might work. Especially as most enjoyed and core content people read them for in VNs are actually not the "story" but dialogues and jokes aka for 90% "filler" content.
