As much as I hate shaft, this is justified. When you zoom into an object far away, things don't seem to move towards or away from the camera unless they cover a lot of distance. It's obvious this is what they're doing here, because they actually show a zoomed out shot, and because the barrier and train also look so close to them when it's obvious that they're at running distance from it.

He is credited as assistant director unlike other Shaft shows where they credit another director alongside Shinbo or credit Shinbo as chief or series director. Zan SZS is one of those cases where Yukihiro Miyamoto is credited as director and Tatsuwa is still assistant director.
