Not really, quite a lot of people liked it.
Sure it won't have threads spammed every day like Phantom world or Dagashi kashi but you can expect some solid threads for 2 or 3 days after the episode is released.

Went into it with basically no expectations, turned out to be rather unique and good, I really liked it. Pretty sure it will end up being my fav of this season and also a strong contender for AOTY.
I really like the length of the episode, which lends itself for one to become more immersed in comparison to regular length anime episodes (at least in my experience).

I was really rooting for Konatsu to start performing after she cried to the old lady but after googling the manga name in moon I only see images of her post-childbirth dressed in business suits with a permanent scowl

I recall some anime news site who reported on this saying that the series would adapt the Yakumo and Sukeroku arc. Looking at the Japanese wiki, the manga seems to be divided into three -hens and 八雲と助六編 lasts from volume 2 to 5. Volume 1 was the OVA/this episode.
I don't mind though since I'm looking forward to the apparent NTR in the flashback, unless the PVs are misleading

Because like it should be, there are threads when it is airing. Unlike the garbage generals everything else seems to promote. That way threads aren't full of shitposting all the time and circlejerking.
