Shiki desu, because she is waifu material who gradually learns to accept herself and the love of her husbando. And she is understated yet graceful.
Normally I prefer European swords, but obviously the katana suits her.

"European" swords, and by that I mean long swords, are objectively better weapons than katanas. Having a pommel and a large cross guard are important.

And I like the fact that she only resorts to violence when necessary to defend herself or those around her, though this isn't due to weakness since she fights with considerable skill and valor.
I'm fine with any type of sword provided they're not too unrealistic.

Are there any actually good kendo manga? I know about Bamboo Blade, and I enjoyed Kurogane but it got axed.

Unfortunately none that I know of other than Bamboo Blade and Kurogane. Some shounen battle manga might have some stuff about kendo/swordplay. Vagabond has some cool ronin/samurai action though so I would suggest checking it out. No specific kendo sports anime/manga though

I have a few questions regarding KnK.
Is there a better supernatural series than this? I gobbled all the movies and, despite 7's ending being too heavy on the romance aspect and 8 being a total character retconning, I genuinely enjoyed all of the rest from beginning to end.
What is the relation between KnK and the other works of Kinoko Nasu like F/S N or Tsukihime?
I haven't seen Mirai Fukuin yet.

KnK is set in a different universe compared to all the other Type Moon stories. There are some references to characters from KnK in Fate and Tsukihime, but these are alternate universe versions of them.
