No, this is Death + Rebirth scene. The other anon is right in that she looks derpy in the original Eva episode though. That entire episode was made under heavy budget constraints, and it's terrific depiction in 1.0 only makes the original look more rusty by comparison.

I honestly kind of like the original, and I think the abrupt change in animation quality would be sort of jarring. (although it is a far better scene)
I wish that they didn't throw 20 years of telecline technology out the window and correct the colors to the original TV broadcast, and I wish that they did whatever they did with Rebirth to the entirety of EoE instead of leaving it as the blurry mess that it its, and I wish that with all the money they made from releasing a billion versions of Eva that they actually went back and fixed the animation errors in the original (there are a lot)

My top 3 are Eva, LOGH and Haibane, followed by FLCL, Berserk, Gunbuster and Zeta.
Most scenes in EoE were 10/10, the original ending was imo good, but it doesn't hold a candle to EoE.
