It seems that, as the Alternative in the title suggested, the anime isn't intended to follow the game. I suppose Riku being indicated as protagonist instead of Nana should have made that clear. She was no longer included in the scene for Reiji's introduction this episode and it looks like they're already switching things up next week.
The otome elements were already pretty weak in the game, so I guess it's not entirely surprising that they may end up being absent from the anime. I'm guessing the romance will likely be limited to Riku's usual fawning over Nana.
