Used to like anime a lot but recently i havent been find anime that i could watch so intensely. It deeply hurts that girls in anime are actually with male mindset because they are written by males. So anime mindset girls are not possible in real life.

Watch Yu-gi-oh Arc-V. It's good.
Not even kidding. It literally restored my faith in anime again. The females are actually handled pretty well and not some stupid harem sluts, the story is interesting and intriguing and the character are all pretty varied and have interesting motivations and goals.
I mean it's not Evangelion, but it's a really REALLY good story that you can just enjoy

It's stand alone. You're treated as if it was the first YGO anime you ever watched and are also slowly introduced to all the new rules and stuff.
However it does throw in some references to the older shows, mainly 5D's because it's from the same director
